Druzy Veins - Victoria Wilson

It's the first Friday of the year! I don't know about you, but I have been feeling the amazing feminine energy that 2018 is bringing. This is going to be a great year for us, take advantage of it & do your than, girl! Need a little inspiration/motivation? This beautiful gem of a soul, Victoria, will have you getting started today.

What inspired you to create your own brand?

I think I finally decided to create druzyveins when I found what kind of posts people were relating to on my feed. I saw people really connecting and creating genuine relationships through my little squares in my little corner of the internet. It all started with Instagram. After that I dove into photography and wanted to make a business out of it, my brand “Druzy Veins” kind of developed from there.

What message are you trying to put out into the world with what you create?

As cliche as it sounds, my message is to stay inspired. There is no better feeling than seeing something someone has created and having it ignite those creative gears in your brain, there’s no better drug that creativity. We live in a world that convinces us we need to be constantly pushing content, constantly creating, even if the end result is something we don’t like or aren’t proud of. My message is that whatever inspires you, and whatever creation comes from that, make it meaningful and full of your heart and soul. Don’t become a machine that just produces meaningless content for the sake of followers and likes.

What advice do you have for girls who are starting out?

If you’re just starting out, don’t focus too much on driving traffic to your website or blog or Instagram or whatever it may be - focus on creating something that is unapologetically you. We live in a time where people crave authenticity and really appreciate it. Make your blog or project or art or whatever your creative venture is, authentically you, and the rest will follow!

What is your definition of a “boss babe”?

To me a boss babe doesn’t have to be someone who owns a clothing line, a blog or a brand. A boss babe is a woman who embraces her flaws and talents and nourishes them with the right people, the right tools, and a voice. She isn’t afraid to stand up for what she believes in and is always learning from her mistakes.

Do you have anything else you’d like to say?

If I can give one piece of advice, it would be to not let the competitive nature of social media deter you from anything you want to do. Ever. Your biggest competition should be the person you were yesterday, and you will find how much more you can succeed!
