Screaming Loudly & Typing Louder - Mojade Adejokun

It's the fourth Friday of the year. Can you believe that?! This has certainly been a weird week for most people (if you know why - hit ya girl up). But here to save us with some inspo & moto is our girl Mojo. Mojade is the vice president for the student government at the university we attend. She is a goddess on fire that demands the attention of everyone in the room. Women are soft - but we are also bold & Mojade is a true depiction of that. Read her words & eat them up. We need more Mojades in the world.

What inspired you to create your own brand?

I have always had a passion to connecting with others. Whether that was with my own stories or the ones that my friends share I have a passion for relating to others in life. So, when I decided to make my blog I wanted it to be a conversation between friends where we are understanding life and growing in life together.

Where do you wish to see your brand in the future?

I want to see it be more consistent to be honest. It is easy to let it fall to the wayside when you also want to live life to the fullest. However, I also want my brand to expand to more varieties of mediums whether that is podcasts or videos. I also want it to connect with my future positon in ministry.

What message are you trying to put out into the world with what you create?

My message is that life is messy and crazy, but it is also fun and something that we can all walk through together. The best way to live through life is to learn from each other and push each other to be better. Life isn’t meant to be done alone so let’s start a conversation and relate together and grow from there.

What advice do you have for girls who are starting out?

You should start, but know why you want to do it. It’s easy to give up or get frustrated when you don’t know the why behind what you are doing. Also, don’t compare yourself to others because you are doing something different than them. If you compare yourself what you are doing will start to lose its genuineness because you are just trying to be better than those that you are comparing yourself to.

What is your definition of a “boss babe”?

A boss babe is a girl that knows herself or is getting to know herself so that she can use her strengths to conquer the world. She is coming alongside others to change the world better and realizes that everybody has a part to play.

Why is it important for girls to find their own voice and share it with the world?

It’s so important for girls to find their own voice because they need to know who they are and how they can uniquely impact the world for better. Now once they find that voice it is important to share so that they can bring a new story into the world. Each person is different and what they have to say is different. Therefore, the world is missing out on hearing a specific story that they may need to hear because somebody is staying quiet.
