I am not going to lie. This week has been tough as hell. But even in our lowest moments, we must look towards our sisters for encouragement. I know that for most of us, when things get rough, we turn towards ourselves and wallow in self-pity. But what good does that do?
My friend Hannah shines light on the importance of lifting one another up. Real women empower other women. But I think I'll goes as far to say that real women seek help from other women, too. We can't do everything by ourselves. God designed us as beings that need community. Trying to pull yourself up is not strong, it only weakens your spirit. I'm saying this mostly for myself, but don't be afraid to ask someone to sit down with you and listen to your struggles. Allow them to cry with you. I am someone who is always on the other side, being the shoulder to cry on. But I also need to learn that it is okay to be the friend that asks.
Whatever you're going through, whether you are barely making it through the week or you're having the time of your life, share your feelings with your sisters. Let them share your burdens and let them rejoice with you. Empowering each other covers all aspects of our lives. Behind a great woman stands more great women who push her to be her best self. We need each other in every moment.
What inspired you to create your own brand?
For me, the simplicity and depth of being able to start from nothing and create something beautiful and appealing has been something that has made me giddy. I love to have opportunities to use my eye and create an aesthetic that represents how I am feeling or just art that reflects the world that I'm immersed in.

What message are you trying to put out into the world with what you create?
Something that makes my heart throb is finding creative ways to share the Gospel. Recently I have focused on sharing real-life stories of the goods happening in Price Hill. So the message I want to display is merely the goodness, authenticity, and beauty that we don't always get to see + just the things and thoughts that I'm learning as I seek that!

What advice do you have for girls who are starting out?
Find something you love, that makes your soul sing, and learn from sitting down and talking with people that you admire. We have so much to learn from each other.

What is your definition of a “boss babe”?
A boss babe is a woman who stands up for what is good and pure, who is soft-spoken yet incredibly strong, and someone who empowers other women to do the same.

Why is it important for girls to find their own voice and share it with the world?
We have stories to tell and wisdom to share, I think there is beauty in leaning in and listening to each other's stories, BUT no one will hear them if we aren't making it a priority to give girls their own voice to share them. Speaking truths into them... of how beautifully created, magnificently smart, and how deeply loved and important they are.
