Happy Femme Friday! I hope you felt all the positive energy from yesterday's celebration of women. I think International Women's Day should be every day, which is kind of the idea behind Femme Friday.
What I love most about this series is that every single woman featured here has something different and unique to say. They all are so inspiring and have so many great experiences and perspectives to share with us. Jasmine is keeping the feminine energy flow going and leaves us with a very quotable message. I hope you find motivation and take this as a sign to kick ass!
What inspired you to create your own brand?
How most good things start: I was bored! I had just finished my second year of college and I was going home to Hawaii for the summer, and I thought I would start a blog and post pictures there. Then it kind of just took off and I fell in love with photography, exploring, meeting other bloggers/creators, etc.

Where do you wish to see your brand in the future?
I don't even know where I see MYSELF in the future! But I guess I want it to continue to be ever-changing. I live for constant growth, so I want my brand to continue to evolve and not stay stagnant in a certain theme, topic, etc.
What message are you trying to put out into the world with what you create?
That you HAVE all the resources to put out any message you wish. So many people feel like their voices are too small, following is too small, thoughts are insignificant - and that couldn't be further from the truth! Every voice matters, and that's what I try to convey in my content. I live to inspire and help others realize their potential.

What advice do you have for girls who are starting out?
Learn to be okay with criticism and hating your work. When I started writing and taking photos, I was absolutely crushed when someone didn't like what I had produced. I worked hard on it, so it hurt when it wasn't received well. But I've learned that in the real world, there are TONS of opinions and voices and ideas - and that's the beautiful thing about it all! You have to be open-minded and realize that not everyone is going to love every single thing you put out into the world, but if YOU love it, that's all that matters. Love your work, love yourself first.

What has been the greatest reward of all your hard work so far?
Everything is rewarding to me because I put 110% into everything I do. Take it this way: I got invited to meet the First Lady because of my blog, and I made $1.05 from my first affiliate sale and I rank them on the same spectrum. Every win is a win to me. On another note, getting emails and messages from people who thank me for writing because it helps them gain confidence, inspiration and happiness is the ultimate reward. Just knowing I made a difference in someone's life is all I need.

Why is it important for girls to find their own voice and share it with the world?
Because no one else will. You are YOU and the world needs you. Find your voice and be loud.
