It's only been 3 days since I've been back from Spring break & I'm already over it.
I spent my one week off in The Queen City. I didn't have an agenda, didn't have any place I was dying to go. I simply let myself relax & enjoy living in the moment. I took it slow & focused on being present where I stood. Really, all I did was drink lots of good coffee & eat some of the best vegan food around. But I did get a second tattoo, which was a major box to check off on my 2018 bucket list.
Lessons learned:
As great as spontaneity is, having a general plan is a good idea
Traveling solo is scary, but you'll be okay
Don't be afraid to ask for help
I do not like being alone at night
Make the best of the weather
Do what makes you happy
Don't have fomo is you're doing what you enjoy (i.e. spending 4.5 in a bookstore)
Say yes to things outside of your comfort zone
Make big memories
Make friends & have intentional conversations
You don't have to be alone when traveling alone
Here is a video of what my trip looked like:
Be happy, be healthy, be a Golden Vessel.
