Happy Earth Day!

Technically yesterday was Earth Day. But this post is a reminder that every day is Earth Day. This is the only home we have. It is the responsibility of each of us to take care of our Mother. Mālama da ʻāina. Take care of the land & she will take care of you. Here are some easy things you can do in your every day life to be more eco friendly. Living sustainably is doable & fun! I hope these little habits are something you can transition into your daily routine.
35 ways to live more eco friendly:
1. Live a plant-based life style
2. Opt for cruelty-free products
3. BYOM - Bring your own mug/cup when you go out
4. Ditch the plastic straw. Use your own metal/reusable straw & bring it with you, or just ditch the straw completely, if you're out getting coffee with friends - share the coffee stirrer
5. R E C Y C L E literally everything that you can; recycle your electronics
6. Shop second hand, it's cool to shop at thrift stores now
7. Compost if you are able to
8. TURN THE WATER OFF when you are brushing your teeth, washing your face & hands. It doesn't need to be running

20. Go natural - eat natural whole foods & use natural products (cosmetics, cleaning)
21. DIY - make your own natural products (shampoo, toothpaste, face mask)
22. Don't throw away things you don't use anymore, donate or sell them
23. Open your windows & let some fresh air in, the air doesn't need to be running all the time
24. Bring a reusable water bottle with you wherever you go
25. Swap for biodegradable items (bamboo toothbrush, body scrubber)
26. Get rid of one use items & use more sustainable alternatives
27. Save paper & digitalize your work as much as possible
28. Start a plant family
29. Only use what you need (this applies to everything - napkins, paper, water, cotton swabs, soap, wipes etc.)
30. Look into how you can help save animals (endangered & the many alike)
31. Don't support brands that contribute to deforestation
32. Support brands that produce ethically & give back to the environment
33. Educate yourself & your family - watch all the Ted Talks & documentaries
34. Definitely watch: Cowspiracy, The True Cost, Minimalism, Food, Inc.
35. Try to adopt a minimalist lifestyle, or at least mindset - need over want, mind over matter
The list goes on and on. I can do another one of these if you want more ideas on how to live more sustainably & reduce your negative impact on the earth. These are the easiest & most achievable ways to continue living your current lifestyle while being conscious of the affects you make on the environment. Our resources are being depleted quickly. As Long As It Takes - Isbells
What have we done To the earth we belong Where do we go from here Who's responsible Look at the mirror on the wall What do I tell my child Its future's gone for life It's all down the drain We must carry chains For as long as it takes There's only one way out Said a man to the crowd What do I tell my child Its future's gone for life What do I tell my child Its future's gone for life What have we done

Be happy, be healthy, be a Golden Vessel.
