We'll All Float On Alright

Sometimes it feels like there is not enough wind in our sails, the masts are going to come falling down on us, & the water is going to weigh us down & consume us whole. But is that ever really the case? We can get close, hell, I have been so. damn. close. But eventually the wind picks up, the masts stand strong, & we sail proudly on the water. As the famous cliché puts it, "once you hit rock bottom, the only way out is up". Though it seems only in a distant in life, things will always get better. We will all float on alright.

I am living proof that your darkest day can turn into the best thing to ever happen to you. Depression took me hostage & threatened to kill me. I begged it to. One day it became too much & I took hold of the knife myself. What should have been a day marked by death turned into a day filled with life. My nearly attempted suicide became the beacon that sent me soaring out of rock bottom. Now, years later, I am living a life full of happiness, love, experiences, & opportunities that my suicidal self didn't think was possible for me.

Whatever you are going through, know that it will not, can not, last forever. Everything changes, so will your circumstances, your life, & most importantly - you. You will be happy, I promise. One day you will be so filled with joy that you will look back at your past & wonder how you ever made it this far. Bad things happen, but even more so, good things happen.
