I usually send out a long list of questions for these Femme Friday boss babes to answer, then when I edit the post, I choose the best responses (don't want the post to be too long). But I could not leave out a word that Taylor - founder of Sundaze Bikinis - wrote. There is so much weight & importance in every single thing she said.
Allow your brand to be bigger than you. Let your vision be bigger than you. Let your mission be bigger than you. You have an important voice to share, but there is always room for a cause to be added to that. That is the very essence of Golden Vessels & Sundaze Bikinis.

What inspired you to create your own brand?
I wanted to create swimwear that was comfortable and secure enough to handle an active adventurous lifestyle (hiking, swimming, yoga, ect.) without compromising style and aesthetic. I live a pretty active lifestyle and I wanted something that I could throw on no matter what my plans were for the day.
Where do you wish to see your brand in the future?
I would love to see my brand worldwide inspiring girls to be and being able to be hands on in supporting ocean conservation efforts.

What message are you trying to put out into the world with what you create?
I try to spread love for yourself, love for one another, and love for the earth. Pretty much positivity all around. One of the ways I try to do that is through the recycled fabric and ocean conservation. When I discovered that using fabric made out of recycled plastic pulled from the ocean was possible it was a no brainer to use it. I love the ocean, why not spend the extra money to use fabric that supports something positive like sustainability and reducing the amount of plastic in the ocean. The more and more I have delved into plastic in the ocean the more I realized that it is a huge problem that most people aren't aware of. Its become my mission to spread that awareness and teach people that they can make a positive difference in a problem that seems so impossible.
What do you tell yourself when you’re stuck in a rut?
It's not really what I tell myself, but what I see for myself. I put on my favorite music and jam out and visualize where I want to be with my company and what it would look like to see my goals come true.

What advice do you have for girls who are starting out?
To be honest, I think a lot of people think owning a bikini company consists of photoshoots and frolicking around on the beach and yes that can be a perk but thats probably about 2% of what I do. What most people don't see is the countless hours of work alone, behind the scenes. Being an entrepreneur is a lot of hard work, theres always something to do and theres hardly any true days off. You are breathing life into something new and its your baby. You don't get to just call in sick when you want to go to the beach with friends and you don't have a boss patting you on the back when you do something good. Its a lot of doubts and risks, but if you are motivated and understand how to work through the hard times it can be so rewarding.
What has been the greatest reward of all your hard work so far?
I love when people message me and tell me what a positive impact my company has made with ocean awareness or inspiring adventure within themselves. Anyone can have a company, but it feels rewarding to have a company that is impacting people in a positive way.

Who is the audience you wish to reach with your content?
I love the motto "If you have a body, you have a bikini body".
What is your definition of a “boss babe”?
When I think of a "boss babe" I think of a strong independent woman who is creative and pushes through all the obstacles of life with confidence, grace and isn't afraid to go against the grain and get things done.

Why is it important for girls to find their own voice and share it with the world?
I think we live in an exciting time where people of all areas are breaking out of their stereotypes to be what they want to be. I think that anyone can be what they want to as long as they work hard enough and I don't think anyone should be held back from their dreams and their potential. I think if more people realized their dreams were possible that we could make the world a better place.
