Marlee Maynard

Marlee has flower power coursing through her veins. Her spirit is so radiant that it brings forth life & spreads joy to each person lucky enough to be a witness. This week, Marlee is reminding us how important it is to stay rooted in our truth & our own selves. There is so much that gets thrown at us on the daily, if you're not grounded, you will slip quickly. As Katy Perry put it, "I stood for nothing, so I fell for everything". Know who you are, know what you want to do, & have a solid reason why. Be bulletproof, darling, you can't afford not to be. You're a rare gem & the world needs to see you for you.

What inspired you to create your own brand?

I have always been passionate about relating to other girls. From a young age I took notice that as females we tend to struggle in the same ways, we just don’t talk about them. I wanted to start the conversation by sharing my life experiences.

Where do you wish to see your brand in the future?

I hope to create a brand that is applicable and relatable. I hope to eventually publish a guide that will help young women overcome these struggles of fitness, faith and food.

What message are you trying to put out into the world with what you create?

Ultimately I am an advocate of Christ and I want everyone to experience his love. In order to do that I want to portray a message of my REAL LIFE, not a persona put on for social media but a sense of vulnerability. Share my struggles with other girls to create a common ground and build a relationship from there.

What advice do you have for girls who are starting out?

Be yourself. It is so important to create a brand that you can thrive on, but you must start where your roots are. If you are trying to copy someone else’s brand you will never succeed. However, I have learned the idea of “imitate and innovate.” Find someone who has a similar style as you, and then innovate that style to make it unique to you.

What is your definition of a “boss babe”?

Someone who uses their strengths to benefit others.

Why is it important for girls to find their own voice and share it with the world?

Because you are you, and that is your power. There is no one in the world like you.
