"Sometimes I have the impression that the world is too gray, too sad and I want to change it." I found Tula on Instagram & fell in love with her art. Her art brings warmth, comfort, & magic back into our lives. The world needs more Tula's to bring soft colors to this sad, gray world.
What inspired you to create your own brand?
I have many ideas in my head and I wanted to show them somewhere, share them with others. I watched and admired many other creators and their businesses. I'm studying at the Academy of Fine Arts, so I knew that I wanted to do something creative. The idea for my own brand came when I started to make handmade presents for my friends and somehow people liked them. And that's how it began.
And why bookmarks? I’m a huge bookworm and I never liked the bookmarks sold in stores, so I said to myself "Hey! Make your own!”.
Where do you wish to see your brand in the future?
I would love to open my mini shop where I would sell my stuff. I know it’s a long way to achieve that, but there is so much more I want to make. Bags, pins, posters, mugs, postcards…etc. Once I'll finish my studies I will be able to devote 100% of my time to my brand.
What message are you trying to put out into the world with what you create?
I always say that I love "cute things". Sometimes I have the impression that the world is too gray, too sad and I want to change it.
What do you tell yourself when you’re stuck in a rut?
I say "stop, rest". I try not to do anything by force, calm down, find small pleasures (reading a book, walking, cooking). Creativity also needs a break.
Who is the audience you wish to reach with your content?
People with big imagination. Not young, not old, just people who still believe in fairies.
What is your definition of a “boss babe”?
It's someone who takes matters into their own hands and does not wait for a prince from a fairy tale!
Do you have anything else you’d like to say?
Only that everyone will find their own path in their lives. Sooner or later. It's worth being yourself, not being like the crowd, not being afraid to create and do what you love and you want. We have only one life and it is shame to waste it.
