To be, rather than to appear

Why do we focus on the way things seem rather than the way they truly are? We tend to do this with ourselves. We hold false notions about who we are and what our existence means in this world. For most of us, we see ourselves as less than what we were made to be.

You are so much more important than you think you are. By saying that you are not, by talking down on yourself, you are insulting the One whom created you. What does it say about the artist when you criticize their art? Saying that you have no or little value is belittling the Holy Spirit that lives inside of you .

You are God breathed, blood bought, & Spirit filled.

You can count yourself as nothing less than that. You, my friend, are a child of God, an heir to the King. He who made you sees you as worthy. Worthy enough to pour out His wrath on His only Son so that you could be spared.

This is who you are. This is your identity. Don't you want to live your life with the confidence that you are so loved? Don't you want to walk with your chin up knowing that you have a wonderful life planned out for you? Don't you want to be who you're made to be rather than appear to be something you're not?

I am who you say I am.
