Serving the world through your skills and talents. That is something that Nicole does so well. You can tell from her photos that she captures the love people have towards each other so they can look back at it for years. If you are doubting your calling, know that it is your service to the world & we are lacking without all that you have to add. You never know the happiness your service can bring to someone.
What inspired you to create your own brand?
I fell in love with photography in college when I took a photography class to fulfill an art requirement. But it wasn't until I started working with families and shooting in a less-posed, less-structured environment that I realized that I had finally created something that I was really into. I wanted a way to focus on the connections and relationships within the family unit. I was craving more authenticity, raw emotion, and real moments. When I finally figured that out, I began to actually build a brand around that more - which lead me to my lifestyle and documentary photography business.

What message are you trying to put out into the world with what you create?
Having a visual legacy is SO important. There's nothing truer than the old sang, "The days are long, but the years are short." Family photos are important because it preserves your family history and ensures that your legacy lives on for generations to come. I also really want to champion every life season and story that my clients are living because I want them to know that it's worthy of being documented, right here and now, before anything changes. There's beauty in the ordinary and sometimes all it takes is an outsider's perspective (me, as the photographer) to realize how beautiful it really is.
What advice do you have for girls who are starting out?
Never stop learning. I'm constantly taking courses, Googling topics I'd like to learn more about, watching YouTube tutorials - always be open to learn something new. And don't be afraid to try. Trust me when I say that I know first hand how analysis paralysis works and sometimes you just have to do it. I've really had to learn to push fear aside and leap on faith. If it works, great! If it doesn't, well, now you know! No harm, no foul.

Who is the audience you wish to reach with your content?
I mostly want to reach parents and here's why: I recently polled my Instagram community about who they wished they had more photos of and the most common responses were parents and grandparents. I want them to know that their children will yearn for these photos later on. There's no better time like the present to get in the picture, because their children love them for who they are.
What is your definition of a “boss babe”?
A perfectly imperfect woman who serves the world with her skills and talents.

Why is it important for girls to find their own voice and share it with the world?
"Finding your voice" is one of the most common phrases used in the photography industry. And it really is important. There's no doubt that the photography industry can be saturated where you live. And literally THE only way to stand out from the crowd is to find your voice and never stray. Be YOU, not what the rest of the industry says you should be or do.
