Created to Create. "I realized that no matter how saturated the market may be, everyone has something unique to add, and creating something will always be better than creating nothing." Don't worry about what other people are doing. Don't worry if someone else is already doing what you want to do. You have something unique to bring to the table. Get your thoughts, your feelings, you musings out into the world & receive the love that comes from it.

What inspired you to create your own brand?
For quite some time now, I’ve been fascinated by the health benefits of plants and minerals, the practical implications of astrology, the importance of nourishing our bodies from within, and paying attention of mindfulness. My keen interest in all of those things eventually grew to the point where I seeking an outlet to express my curiosity in a creative manner; and I was also looking for a means to inspire others to feel a more connected to the Earth as well — which is the reason behind creating Nuts and Seeds.
Who is the audience you wish to reach with your content?
Anyone and everyone who is seeking to learn more about plant and mineral alchemy, astrology, and how to live more sustainably!

Where do you wish to see your brand in the future?
I would love Nuts and Seeds to eventually act as a source of inspiration and education for people to turn to if they’re looking to reconnect with the power of Mother Nature. I hope that it can become a space where people can gather clear information about the power many plants, feel inspired about the Planet we live on, and learn more about sustainable, conscious-living.
What message are you trying to put out into the world with what you create?
The message I’m trying to promote boils down to something rather simple:
Plants are incredible — eat more of them.
This planet is incredible — care more about it.

What do you tell yourself when you’re stuck in a rut?
In all honesty, for a couple months now I’ve been struggling to create content. Even though it’s ultimately just an Instagram post, creating something that I’m happy with requires heavy research and energy, and I often get bogged down in the details trying to make everything perfect — which sadly halts me from creating anything at all.
At the end of the day though, I have to remind myself that with each post, there’s a potential to teach someone something new, or to (hopefully) inspire some kind of change, such as incorporating more veggies into their diet, paying attention to their mood around a full or new moon, or doing something to minimize their carbon footprint. That reminder of the potential impact I can create is incredibly motivating, and it’s focusing on that which helps me get out of a rut. So stay tuned, because good things are coming to Nuts and Seeds soon (I promise…).
What advice do you have for girls who are starting out and Why is it important for girls share their voice with the world?
For a while, and I mean years, I toyed around with the idea of starting an Instagram dedicated to health and wellness. I felt like I wasn’t educated enough to be a reliable and influential advocate, and I was nervous that my page would simply go unnoticed (I mean let’s face it, almost every other post I see now on Instagram is geared towards food, exercise or well-being in some way). Eventually though, I realized that no matter how saturated the market may be, everyone has something unique to add, and creating something will always be better than creating nothing. So my advice to anyone on the verge of starting out, is to GO FOR IT. Whatever it may be — a new business, a YouTube channel, an Instagram — take the leap because you’ll always regret it if you don’t, and who knows the impact you can have.

What is your definition of a “boss babe”?
When I think back to all of the ‘boss babes’ that have made an impression on my life, they’ve all shared similar qualities. Each one has been entirely secure in themselves — never choosing to settle or conform simply to please others; and while they’ve all been kind and comforting, they have never hesitated to challenge those around them. Above all, every “boss babe” I’ve met has had a passionate aptitude for learning and are constantly trying to determine how to improve. While I’m certainly not a ‘boss babe’ yet, day-after-day I’ve been working on reflecting all of those qualities, so that hopefully one day I can inspire someone in the ways that the strong women in my life have influenced me.
Anything else you’d like to add?
If you can take anything away from this, its that I hope one day you’re able to find something that you’re passionate and curious about (but don’t rush it, authenticity takes time…enjoy the journey of discovery), and that you share it with the world — because we’ll all thank you for it, trust me.
